How it works

How it works, from first question to funds

Six steps, no runaround, and nothing that touches your credit file until you decide to proceed.

See what you could borrow →No credit check to enquire
  1. 1

    1. The 60-second enquiry

    Tell us the amount, what it's for, how long the company has traded and whether property is available. No documents and no credit check at this stage.

  2. 2

    2. A lender reads your file

    A member of our lending team reviews the enquiry, then calls you to fill in the gaps: deposits, existing debts, timing and anything a credit assessor would ask about.

  3. 3

    3. The right structure

    We explain whether cash flow lending, property-secured lending or a mix fits best, what amount is realistic and what it will take to get there.

  4. 4

    4. Documents and checks

    Only once you choose to proceed: bank statements, ID, company details and, for secured loans, property information and a valuation. This is when a credit check happens.

  5. 5

    5. Offer and costs in writing

    You receive the terms, the total cost and every fee before signing. Ask anything. You're under no obligation until you sign.

  6. 6

    6. Settlement

    Funds are paid to the company account or straight to whoever needs paying, such as the ATO, a supplier or an outgoing lender.

What helps things move faster

Most delays come from information arriving in pieces. You can save days by having these ready once you decide to proceed:

  • the last three to six months of business bank statements, or online access to share them securely;
  • photo ID for each director and any guarantor;
  • your ABN or ACN, and details of existing business loans, leases and ATO arrangements;
  • for secured loans, the property address, current loan balance and lender, and who owns the title.

Our document checklist covers each item in detail.

Common questions

How long does the process take?

It depends on the structure. Unsecured cash flow facilities can move quickly once clean bank statements are in. Property-secured loans add a valuation and legal documents, so timing depends on the property and how fast paperwork comes back. Tell us your deadline upfront and we'll say honestly whether it's realistic.

When does the credit check happen?

Only at step four, after you've seen your options and decided to go ahead. Enquiring never involves a credit check.

Who will I deal with?

The same lending team from first call to settlement. Your enquiry isn't passed down a chain or sold to other lenders.

What if the answer is no?

We'll tell you why and, where we can, what would change it: more trading history, a different structure, property security or tidying up the account first.

When you're ready, start the 60-second enquiry. Accurate answers mean the first option you hear is far more likely to be the right one.
